About Us
The SBE Group was started with an aim of sustainability and energy efficiency in mind, and has been catering to the growing demand of new and sustainable ideas in India related to commercial and residential real estate since 2010. In the recent years it has been seen that the metro cities of India have been saturated in real estate development, but the development they have seen over the years has not been sustainable or energy efficient and that has taken a definite toll on the general environment of the city, not to mention the health and well being of its residents. The results of such development can be seen in the reduced water tables of most cities, environmental pollution and drying of rivers or their pollution. The above model of development thus has been left behind and a fresh, new approach with sustainability and energy efficiency must be kept in mind for the new development to be carried out in classification A cities of India.
The government of India has also recognized the need for sustainable development and has included some cities in the “National Smart Cities Mission” (http://smartcities.gov.in/content/), implemented by the Union Ministry of Urban Development in collaboration with the state governments, with the aim of developing some areas of a city in a model way with the idea of having a rub-off effect on the other parts of the city as well. The chosen areas are thought to be developed in a holistic manner keeping sustainability, energy efficiency, resident’s health and comfort and degradation of environment in mind. The mission has chosen the region of Lucknow and Kanpur in the 2nd and 3rd round respectively. Although, the areas have not been developed or started so far, this is a clear indication that the developments must move in a sustainable and energy efficient manner.
With that in mind, a group of professionals have come together to provide realistic, cost efficient, sustainable design solutions for commercial and residential real estate development. We operate mainly in the fields of Sustainable Architecture, Energy Efficient Building and Net Zero Energy Building Design and Structural Design and Detailing of Building Structures.
1.Humble beginnings 2018-19
Both partners met in 2018 where they worked together as consultants on design projects, which gradually developed and they came together as a team, working on projects of different scale. The team strengthened itself at this point, making great strides in their areas of expertise and gaining knowledge in other aspects as well
2.The idea being born
The idea of a firm that serves the client in such a way that all technical expertise can be dealt with under one roof came in late 2019. Regular work took a backstage while the pandemic took front stage in all of our lives and the idea of the new firm took a backstage for the time being but secondary work related to the firm went on in the backstage.
3.The Start
The firm started doing business in 2021 with the modus operandi of serving the clients with a vision in sustainable architecture, energy efficient design and structural engineering. The architecture and design that we follow is simple, clean and efficient where we strive to connect our clients with their roots and their inner wellbeing by practicing design that is purely vaastu compliant and sustainable.
4.The New Office
The SBEG personnel moved into the new office by December 2021 and work continued at a tremendous pace. We found ourselves designing projects from residential to mixed use commercial to institutional buildings.
5.How It's Going
The journey so far has been great and we feel tremendously grateful about it, about the experiences that we've had and the multifaceted team that we have created.
6.The Way Forward
We are very positive about the future of the firm as we look at the tremendous opportunity in the niche that we have created for ourselves in our industry. Since SBEG has entered into construction and EPC industry as well, the future from where we look at seems bright.
